The Globe
Visit the historic and lovingly restored rooms where Robert Burns ate, drank, recited, slept and otherwise entertained ‘affairs of the heart’. Sit in his chair, dine from his table or read the verse that he etched into the windowpane of his bedchamber. Get intimate with the great man, his life and his legacy.
The Globe is an historic inn with stories to tell, and as proud custodians of its past, we want to preserve its future by sharing them. So, within one of the rooms of Robert Burns’ favourite howff (as he recalls in his own words in a letter to his publisher, George Thomson) you can now take a seat at Burns’ very own dining table, surrounded by his artifacts and memories. The very same place where he ate, drank and held court for many years. Nowhere in Scotland can offer such a unique dining experience. But then, there’s nowhere else quite like The Globe.
