The Love Bug
Lockerbie based, classic car fanatic and fashion producer, Linny Oliphant launched The Love Bug D&G on 7th March 2020 – the 70th birthday of the VW campervan!
Like great Hollywood stars the classic VW style never loses its appeal and is adored by celebrities including Jamie Oliver and Ewan McGregor. Ellie Goulding chose a blue bay window campervan as her wedding car in August 2019, and Vernon Kay and Tess Daly travelled to their wedding in a campervan in 2003. Formula One world champion Jenson Button drives one as does The Greatest Showman star Hugh Jackman.
Indeed, the VW campervan inspired The Who hit, ‘Magic Bus’ and Roger Daltrey owns one. Linny dreamed of owning a shiny VW Beetle from the age of 8, so the idea for The Love Bug D&G has been forming for quite some time!
Passionate about her beautiful home region of Dumfries and Galloway, Linny is excited to show off its many visitor attractions, wedding venues and hidden gems in a unique Love Bug experience.
